This statement explains how The True Traveller Limited and N-HOOD Limited, trading as Neighbourhood Social, use your personal information when you apply to join the True Creator Programme.
Who uses your information
True Traveller and Neighbourhood jointly assess applications and decide whether applicants are suitable for the programme. They act as joint controllers for this assessment.
If you are selected, Neighbourhood uses your application information on True Traveller's behalf to onboard you. In agreement with True Traveller, Neighbourhood sends you the contract and briefs you about the work.
Each organisation stores application information in its own internal systems, including its own CRM.
What information we use and why
Your application may include:
We use this information to assess your eligibility to participate in the programme, contact you about your application and, if you are selected, arrange your onboarding and brief you about the work. We do not use application information for marketing.
To verify whether you are or have been a True Traveller customer, True Traveller checks the surname and email address supplied in your application against its customer records. It does not check your medical history or claims activity against those records. Neighbourhood is only told whether you are or have been a customer; policy details are not shared.
Our lawful bases for using your information
We use your information to assess your application and, if you are selected, to take steps towards arranging a paid creator agreement. We do this because you have asked us to consider you for the programme and to take steps before deciding whether to enter into an agreement with you.
If we do not progress your application at this time, we keep your information for up to 24 months so we can consider you for future opportunities. For this use, we rely on our legitimate interests in identifying and recruiting suitable creators for the programme. You can object to this processing by contacting us using the details in "Your privacy rights and how to contact us".
How long we keep your information
We keep application information for all applicants for 24 months so we can consider them for future opportunities. If we decide not to progress your application at this time, the 24-month period starts on the date of that decision. We then delete the information.
If you are selected, we keep your programme information for 24 months from the date your first approved content is posted, or for as long as you continue working with True Traveller, whichever is longer. If you continue creating content after the first two years, your information will be deleted 24 months after Neighbourhood receives your last approved piece of content.
Each organisation deletes information from its own systems. Neighbourhood records the deletion date and informs True Traveller.
We are only able to accept applications from creators aged 18 or over. If we discover a creator is under 18, your data will be deleted immediately.
True Traveller keeps separate insurance policy records, which may be retained for up to seven years where required. These records are separate from your Creator Programme application information. See the True Traveller Privacy Policy for details.
Storage and overseas processing
Each organisation stores your information in its own internal systems. The application website's hosting may involve processing information overseas.
